Denver Chiropractor’s Strategies for Weight Loss

Do you want to lose weight and keep it off?  The most important thing to remember is to get back on track as soon as you slip up.  Weight always fluctuates.  You’re not perfect.  As long as you get back to eating right and exercising again, you’ll be fine.

The other day I was at a special dinner with my neighbors.  Everyone was eating Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, my favorite dessert.  I was hungry and ate my share and then some.  The others had stopped eating, but I couldn’t help myself.  I reasoned, “I deserve this” I’ve been losing weight and have been very disciplined, now I can have dessert.  I kept eating…

When I got on the scale, I realized I gained weight.  I’m not upset, I expected this.  I’m getting back on track and that’s my point.  However strong you may be, you’re going to slip.  Temptation will present itself, especially if you’re tired or hungry.  Just get back on track as soon as possible.  Forgive yourself, you’re just as strong (and weak) as anyone else.  Certainly don’t feel remorseful, we’re all too human.
