Car Injury

There is misinformation online about whiplash.  Read this article carefully to learn the facts.

WHAT DOES WHIPLASH FEEL LIKE?

At first, you may not notice any symptoms.  Later you may feel any combination of the following;

Headache, irritability, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, insomnia, neck pain, numbness and tingling in the arms or legs, loss of memory, loss of concentration, mid back pain, low back pain, soreness , chest pain, jaw clicking or popping.

If you have any of these danger signs contact your family chiropractor in Denver as soon as possible.  Even if you feel well after a crash, you owe it to yourself to have a quality examination just in case.  The examination in the emergency room is usually not be enough to determine if you’re ok.

DENVER CHIROPRACTOR EXPLAINS WHAT HELPS SORE MUSCLES FAST

If it really is a “sore muscle”, it should heal on its own rather quickly.  Using ice early on is good therapy.  Place the ice over a wet towel to avoid freezing the skin.  Do not use ice over twenty minutes at a time.  If you are not getting progressively better, it’s not a “pulled muscle”.  Call Care Chiropractic just to be sure.

SHOULD YOU STILL WORKOUT IF YOU ARE SORE?

Usually the answer to this question is no.  Your Denver chiropractor is qualified to tell you when it’s safe to work-out again.
