How strange! A person who just had a car accident in Denver CO will have another one days or weeks after. It happens regularly and no one seems to know why. They might have enjoyed 30 years of safe driving and then get rear-ended twice in the same month. In my office we’ve seen this phenomenon again and again.

Perhaps after the first accident, people drive differently. They drive more tentatively because they don’t want to be hurt again. Unfortunately, this can lead to a second Denver accident.

Another theory is undiagnosed concussion. Mild brain injuries occur in accidents because the brain is fragile and whiplash is violent and abrupt. Accident victims with a concussion are simply not as aware or coordinated. They may have another accident in close proximity to the first because they’re not driving as well.
